How to add Files to install CD to copy to hard drive

On the root folder that you have your windows CD copied to (for this discussion the root folder is going to be xpprosp2)

Do the following

  1. If the folder xpprosp2 is not open, double-click onit

  2. Double-click the $OEM$ folder

  3. Create a folder called $1

  4. Double-click the $1 folder

  5. Create a folder called Install

  6. Copy all the programs or files you want the CD to copy over to the hard drive to here.

Now when you run the CD, the programs and files will be copied over to the Install directory of your hard drive.

If you have commands setup to run the programs on the RunOnce in the unattended, they will run when the install finishes. See RunOnce for more information.
