Setup network in Windows ME

  1. Go to control panel (This link will open in a different window)

  2. Double-click on Add/Remove Programs

  3. Click on Windows Setup

  4. Highlight Communications

  5. Click on Details

  6. Put a check in Dial-up Networking

  7. Put a check in HyperTerminal

  8. Click on OK

  9.    
  10. Reboot the computer

  11. Go to control panel (This link will open in a different window)

  12. Double-click on Network. You should have your network card, Client for Microsoft Networks, Dial-up Adapter, TCP/IP (one for each device), and File and Print Sharing.
